Silverweave can also
deliver customized analysis and editing of economic impact studies and
other business metrics related to growth of education, high technology
and the life sciences in Silverweave’s commitment to the delivery of innovative programs began in 1996 with the creation of an area association. The objective of this association was to create engaging networking environments and community outreach programs. At its height, over a dozen programs were held annually, ranging from intimate corporate gatherings at local offices to broad community outreach programs hosted at Boston-area restaurants, hotels, museums and sporting events. Companies involved in these programs ranged from The Boston Globe/Boston.com to Fidelity and also involved dozens of small companies. From 2002 to 2005, Silverweave worked with Mass High Tech to provide the critical analysis, research and writing for a 12 page quarterly supplement to the publication called The Pulse. This supplement was distributed to approximately 20,000 Mass High Tech readers each quarter. Silverweave also helped develop the program topics and speakers for the associated quarterly meeting. This meeting attracted between 200 and 300 professionals at each event. In 2003, Silverweave helped edit and managed the production of the report summary Engines of Economic Growth: The Economic Impact of Boston’s Eight Research Universities on the Metropolitan Boston Area, a program that required the oversight and joint contributions of universities including MIT, Harvard, Tufts, Boston University, Boston College, Brandeis, UMass Boston and Northeastern University. The firm also
provided analysis and editorial input into the summary report entitled Mass
Impact: An Upcoming Report
on the Growth and Health of the Life Sciences Industry in Massachusetts,
on behalf of MIT in 2004. This
work was completed in conjunction with the launch of a half day program,
Large Molecules, Large Dreams: A
Forum on Global Drug Pricing and Sustainable Medical Innovation.
Introduced in conjunction with the Annual Celebration of
Biotechnology in Based on the success of that program, Silverweave was hired to provide program management services for the 2nd year of the program in 2005.
